Christie decided it was time to change...

"I always was a chubby little kid.  However, as I got older, I didn't stop at chubby." 

By the time I graduated college, all the drinking, smoking, junk food, and lack of exercise took it's toll on my body.  I didn't weigh myself but I had to be at least 140 lbs on a small 5 foot frame.  I couldn't run and I wasn't strong, physically or mentally.  My skin was bad as well as my hair. 

I decided to change things around so I began to exercise at the gym, quit smoking, cut out most of the junk food, and controlled my portions.  I was able to lose 20 lbs on my own.  I felt good.  I was looking better, feeling better, and I knew that I was healthier, but I wanted to be strong instead of skinny. 

For the past three years, I've been working out at least twice a week at Boot Camp Pasadena. I began to do exercise routines I would have never thought of to do on my own and I had the encouragement to try harder, heavier, and faster.  Now I'm toned and strong.  Plus, I get to work out with a group of fun, like-minded people.  On top of that, since starting the Paleo challenge, I feel less bloated and tired.  Besides, I can't complain about a lifestyle that revolves around grilled meat. 

 

"I now have strength, endurance, and perseverance that I never imagined I would have 10 years ago.  At 31, I feel and look better than at 21.  

I can't wait until I hit 41!"
