Me, getting in a workout with 1 of my 3 cats "helping".

Over the years, I've realized that I have to keep up with a very rapidly changing world.

Years ago, when I started as a trainer, there were no cel phones, and when people got off from work in the evening, they went home and just watched TV.

These days I see so many of my clients under tremendous pressure.  Almost to the point of breakdowns.  Work and family demands are extreme.  They know that taking care of their health is important, but how, or when?

Honestly, it does present challenges for me as a trainer.  It's my job to create programs that burn fat, and improve their health, not crush them even more.

I get it.  I'm 51 years old now with a wife and 2 kids, (a high schooler, and a recent college graduate).  I'm not some 21 year old buff trainer who has no idea of what you are going through.

"More isn't better.  Better is better" - Stephen Cooper

I really do care deeply about my clients.  I'm fortunate to have 2 clients who've been training with me ever since my daughter was born, 24 years ago.

Training is my profession and my passion.  This is not a part time gig, or something I dabble in.

I admire and aspire to be like those who've made it and are respected in their profession not because they are slick marketers, or they have huge followings because they wear booty shorts or are ripped, but because they are masters at their crafts.

Wonder who inspires me? ( I'll add more as I have time.)

 Jiro Ono.

If you don't know who he is, here's a link to the movie about him, Jiro Dreams of Sushi

I have an email newsletter that I send out once or twice a month.  I do my best to share about things I'm learning.  I share these just like I would with family and friends.  Stuff I really believe in, and think would help.

Click here, and I'll add you to my email newsletter.  Don't worry it's not spammy.
